The Boutiquehotel Sonne turns its lakefront Sonnengalerie into a restaurant, lounge and bar — chef David Lange, out of Heiko Nieder's fine-dining kitchen, cooking regional and seasonal produce with international influences, from breakfast through an afternoon menu to dinner.

The Sonnengalerie, the hotel's glazed wing on the Küsnacht lakefront, has been redrawn by Küchel Architects into a single open room that holds restaurant, lounge and bar together — natural materials, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a terrace under the plane trees with the Zürichsee just beyond the hedge.

David Lange runs the kitchen, having cooked fine dining under Heiko Nieder. The menu leans on regional and seasonal produce with international influences, and the room stays open all day: breakfast first, à la carte at lunch and again in the evening, and a lighter afternoon menu in between, seven days a week.
