The short version

Meetz does not track you across the web. We set no advertising cookies, no social media pixels and no cross-site identifiers, and we sell nothing about you to anyone. The site works fully with analytics switched off — that is what the "Decline" button on the banner does, and it is remembered.

What we store in your browser

All three of these are strictly necessary, which under Swiss and EU law means they may be set without consent: two of them exist purely to remember a choice you made, and the third is only ever issued to a logged-in administrator.

meetz:featured-dismissedSession storageRemembers that you closed the highlighted venue card, so it stays closed for the rest of your visit. Never leaves your browser.Until you close the tab

Analytics — only if you accept

With your consent we load two measurement scripts from Vercel, the company that hosts this site:

  • Vercel Web Analytics — counts page views and which pages people read, and records a handful of anonymous events such as "a request form was started" or "a request form was submitted". It tells us that a form was started, never what was typed into it.
  • Vercel Speed Insights — measures how quickly pages actually load and become interactive on real devices, so we can fix the slow ones.

Neither sets a cookie and neither stores a persistent identifier in your browser. Instead of recognising you across visits, they derive a temporary hash from your request that is rotated daily, which means we cannot follow an individual visitor from one day to the next or across other websites. What we see is the page URL, the referring page, coarse device and browser type, and the country the request came from.

If you decline, neither script is loaded at all — this is not a case of loading them anyway and asking them to behave. Nothing is measured, and nothing about your visit is sent to Vercel beyond the ordinary server logs described in our privacy policy.

Third-party content on our pages

The maps on the openings and events pages draw their tiles from OpenStreetMap. Loading those images means your IP address reaches the OpenStreetMap Foundation's servers, as it would with any image on the web; they set no cookies on our pages. Fonts are served from our own domain rather than from Google, so no request leaves for a font provider. We embed no social media widgets, no video players and no ad tags anywhere on the site.

Changing your mind

Use the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page to bring the banner back and make a different choice — withdrawing consent is exactly as easy as giving it. You can also clear the cookies for meetz.ch in your browser settings, which has the same effect, or block them entirely; the site will still work.
