This isn't a new opening any more. It may well still be going strong — check the venue's own channels for current details.
A brasserie built entirely on Swiss provenance — AOP and IGP-certified raclette, fondue, and charcuterie, poured alongside 100+ Swiss wines.
Brasserie Suisse opened in June 2026 at Weitegasse 6, led by managing director Sascha Jänicke. The concept is 100% Swiss: only AOP- and IGP-certified products make the menu, from Valais raclette to Gruyère fondue to regional meat specialties, alongside rösti, spätzli, and a Simmentaler burger.
The wine list runs to over 100 Swiss wines.
Fondue is on all year, not only in winter, and the house pitches it for groups. The raclette comes from Bagnes in Valais and carries the AOP mark, and many of the products, along with a selection of regional specialities, can also be bought to take home.

A pop-up brasserie you can take over for 24, a guild-house hall in Bern's old town, a dinner show for the Christmas party, and a Thai canteen in Geneva you can hire on Saturdays — the October openings worth knowing about, and what each one is actually good for.
- September's New Openings — and Which Ones You Can Actually Book for an Event
An event hall built entirely for private hire, a lakeside cocktail bar already taking Christmas dinner enquiries, a rebuilt techno club that doubles as a corporate party room, and a 700-year-old Altstadt house for the client dinner that matters — the September openings worth knowing about, and what each one is actually good for.
