Restaurant-Pizzeria Wies

Two brothers, Sebastian and Fernard, have taken on the Wies in the middle of Bütschwil — pizza straight from the oven, Italian classics and familiar traditional dishes, with a changing lunch menu and a terrace for the warm months.

The Wies reopened after an open-house apéro on 17 August 2026, with regular service starting the following day. Sebastian and Fernard run it themselves and are in the room rather than behind the scenes; their stated ambition is unfussy — good ingredients, careful preparation, and a service where every guest feels welcome. The kitchen keeps to what it can do properly: crisp pizza from the oven, popular Italian classics, traditional plates, and a lunch offering aimed at people working nearby. There is a Gaststube with red-checked cloths, a larger Speisesaal, and a sunny terrace.
