Dog-friendly specialty coffee studio in Altstetten — exceptional espresso, filter coffee and tastings, plus an on-site coffee academy offering barista courses, latte art classes and corporate events.
DOGUE calls itself a specialty coffee studio and academy, and it runs as both. At the bar: single-origin coffees from different roasters and processes, espresso and hand brews, ceremonial matcha, teas and infusions, and fresh pastries and seasonal bites — with a treat for the dog under the table, since the studio was built to be dog-friendly from the start.
Behind the bar is the Coffee Academy, with courses for beginners, home baristas and aspiring professionals on grind size, water chemistry, roast development and extraction. The same team runs private and corporate coffee experiences, from hands-on workshops to guided tastings — a team event built around a good cup rather than a conference room.

From our guides to Zürich
- October's New Openings — and Which Ones You Can Actually Book for an Event
A pop-up brasserie you can take over for 24, a guild-house hall in Bern's old town, a dinner show for the Christmas party, and a Thai canteen in Geneva you can hire on Saturdays — the October openings worth knowing about, and what each one is actually good for.
- September's New Openings — and Which Ones You Can Actually Book for an Event
An event hall built entirely for private hire, a lakeside cocktail bar already taking Christmas dinner enquiries, a rebuilt techno club that doubles as a corporate party room, and a 700-year-old Altstadt house for the client dinner that matters — the September openings worth knowing about, and what each one is actually good for.
