The Zurich burger chain crosses into Bern on 1 September with its fifteenth Swiss branch — smash burgers from Swiss beef and house-made sauces, a few minutes west of the station on Laupenstrasse.
Burgermeister began in 2015 with one small shop on Zürich's Langstrasse and a concept that has not moved since: quality burgers from Swiss beef, sauces made in house, fresh ingredients, fair prices. A second store on Kasernenstrasse in 2019 added table service, and the chain has since spread to fourteen locations across Zürich, Basel, Lucerne, St. Gallen and Winterthur — with Bern, announced on their own channels as «Bärn, es isch offiziell», the next one.
The Bern store takes Laupenstrasse 4, in the commercial building just west of the station, a few doors from the Travois café opening in Anliker Home the same day. Takeaway and delivery run alongside eat-in, and the branch is reachable on +41 44 242 40 02.
