The rooftop restaurant above Frauenfeld's eastern industrial quarter is back under a new operator — a bisteccheria and Mediterranean kitchen cooking in full view, with a wine room and a summer terrace looking out over the town.

Attica sits on the top floor of a building on Maurerstrasse in the industrial area on the east side of Frauenfeld, with a view over nearly the whole town. It closed suddenly last winter after a dispute between its operators. Linizio Gastro Frauenfeld AG has since taken it over, and the restaurant celebrated its grand opening on 29 August 2026 with an apericena, a live saxophonist and an after-dark party.

The cooking splits into a bisteccheria for steaks and a Mediterranean card, both from an open kitchen in view of the room, with a selection of Italian wines kept in its own wine room. At lunch there are two daily menus alongside the à la carte; in the evening the room turns into a lounge, and on Fridays and Saturdays the night carries on after dinner with live music and dancing. There is a summer terrace, a conference room for meetings and events, and a business club.
