Travois opens a second Bern café on 1 September — this one inside Anliker Home, the interior showroom on Laupenstrasse, pairing the brand's specialty coffee with 700 m² of furniture to sit in while you drink it.
Travois started in March 2025 when Timo Rechsteiner turned a small kiosk on Monbijoustrasse into a coffee bar built around Swiss clarity and understatement — own-roasted espresso, tea, a short counter and a growing shop of equipment and beans. The brand reads itself as more café than shop: coffee, culture and design in one room, with partners chosen for the same reasons, among them Biomilk, Adelbodner and the ceramicist Aline Julie. Alongside the café it runs mobile coffee bars for brand activations and events across Switzerland.
The second address moves into Anliker Home at Laupenstrasse 8, a furniture and interiors house trading in Bern since 1945 and run under the Anliker Home name since 2017, whose Bern showroom lays out around 700 m² of regularly redressed living scenes. A café in a showroom is a natural fit for a brand that talks about calm rooms and natural materials — and it lands on the same street as the Burgermeister opening the same day. Opening 1 September 2026; the original at Monbijoustrasse 43 stays open Monday to Friday 8.00–17.00 and weekends 10.00–17.00.
