Sando opened its Bern branch on August 1, 2026, drawing a long queue before doors even opened — helped along by an opening promo of 5-franken burgers for the first 100 customers.
The menu leans into smash burgers with a Japanese spin: the signature Wagyu Mapo Sando pairs Swiss Wagyu beef with Japanese milk toast, cheddar, and spicy sauces for 45 CHF, with other sandos running 15–27 CHF. Bern is Sando's fifth Swiss location, alongside Geneva, Zürich, Basel, and Luzern.
